Dolores Multi-day

by | Jun 20, 2023 | Trip Reports

The Dolores River is an amazing river that provides a fun float for the entire family.  The Dolores offers  Class II-Class IV whitewater and depending on your skill level there is a section for you. It has many fun side hikes, such as hikes to dinosaur tracks and petroglyphs. Many camp sites offer close up experiences of the towering canyon walls. The canyon provides a beautiful scenic experience to everyone who floats down the river. Bring your camera!

The Dolores is in trouble because of a dam at the top of the river that is robbing it of much needed seasonal flows.  Learn more at www.protectthedolores.com .
