  My family and I had a great time. We went at the very end of August—one of the last runs of the season. Our guide was Matt Sutherland and he was great too! He was fun but still very family friendly and he acted swiftly to effectively rescue one of us when he fell into the water.

  July 2024:

I attended RMA's Intro to Creek Boating class on July 21 2024.  RMA co-owner Kyle was the instructor, and he was excellent as usual.  I have taken several classes from him over the years--all good.  Kyle drilled us on Class III water for most of the morning, then after lunch we headed up to Upper Mishawaka for my first Class IV run.  I was a bit nervous at first, but everything went very, very well.  This class was the perfect level-up from Class III to Class IV in my opinion, and I highly recommend it.

June 2024:

I attended RMA's Intro to River Running class on June 29 2024.  There were only two people signed up for this particular class, and one of them ended up bailing out because she was not at the right level for the class, so I ended up with a private lesson with Zane!  He adjusted the lesson perfectly to my paddling level, pushing me right up to my limits as a paddler, but not beyond.  It was a fantastic experience that really gave me a lot of confidence in Class III whitewater.  I would recommend Zane to anyone looking for whitewater kayaking instruction.
